Cover Songs (I'm fer 'em)

So I was sitting at my computer today - or rather sitting near my computer - listening to my music while reading and I realized my favorite songs are generally versions of already great songs that someone has covered and by way of doing so have made said songs even greater.

Here's what I'm listening to right now.

1. Tom Waits - Sea of Love
2. Ryan Adams - Wonderwall
3. Cat Power - anything from "Covers Record"
4. Dar Williams - Comfortably Numb
5. Counting Crows - Friend of the Devil
6. The Be Good Tanyas - When Doves Cry - House of the Rising Sun
7. The Sundays - Wild Horses
8. Rilo Kiley - After Hours
9. Jimmi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
10. Obadiah Parker - Hey Ya
11. One - Aimee Mann
12. I'm Waiting For the Man - David Bowie

That's all I can think of at the moment.

But also, here are some songs I think should be covered by women with acoustic guitars:

1. Anything by Foreigner.
2. Big Bottom by Spinal Tap.
3. Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple.
4. The Kids Aren't Alright by the Offspring.
5. Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones.
6. Greenback Dollar by the Kingston Trio.
7. Layla by Eric Clapton.
8. Baba O'Reilly by the Who.
